Logistics service provider Van Moer Logistics has benefited greatly from iTOS during corona. The Order2Cash software from iOnLogistics played a crucial role in overcoming overflows and getting the products to the customer on time.

Today, Van Moer Logistics is an important European hub for raw materials for hygiene products, such as nappies, surgical material, sterile cloths and wound care wipes. During the corona crisis, the logistics player had to deal with an overflow of 10,000 big bags. They all had to be processed within two weeks in order to reach the producers, who in turn deliver to hospitals and nursing homes. "The material is sensitive to damage and may not get stuck anywhere, otherwise the factory will come to a standstill," says Joris Emanuel, IT manager at Van Moer Logistics enthusiastically. "We were able to help both the raw material and end manufacturers. We were able to secure the stock and provide the correct documentation to the multinationals."

Extra warehouse

We offer value added services, such as bulking in big bags of starch and potato flakes. We can put our own labels on the containers from iTOS. The software can also handle our customers' barcodes and algorithms.

Although Van Moer Logistics already had a warehouse of 40,000 square metres at its disposal, additional warehouses suddenly had to be rented. "We easily created all additional locations in iTOS and imported the stock," says Emanuel. "And meanwhile the factory could continue production. Our people could work with iTOS from anywhere in the world. Our customers could follow everything live. There has never been a miscommunication or error in delivery. The flexibility and ease of installation of iTOS was a big advantage. Even in a very difficult corona year we were able to grow." Thanks to iTOS, Van Moer Logistics was able to tap into new segments, such as the food sector, even before the corona crisis.
